Why Fleets Here Use Mobile Maintenance
Polk County fleets have a specific problem. The county is a distribution hub — Publix, Amazon, Saddle Creek, Rooms To Go, the Walmart DC in Winter Haven, the Davenport campuses, the CSX intermodal terminal — which means most local trucking runs tight, appointment-driven cycles. There is no slack in the schedule for a unit to sit in a shop queue for a day and a half getting an oil change.
Mobile PM inverts that. The truck stays in your yard. The work happens when the unit is already parked — between shifts, overnight, on a Sunday. Nobody drives it anywhere, nobody waits on a bay, and you do not lose a driver's day shuttling equipment.
For a small fleet with no shop of its own, this is often the entire maintenance program. For a larger operation with in-house techs, it is overflow capacity, after-hours coverage, and the specialized work your own people would rather not take on.
How a Fleet Account Works
-
We look at your operation
Unit count, types, duty cycles, current PM intervals, yard access and gate procedures. No obligation.
-
Build the schedule
PM intervals mapped to how your trucks actually run — short-cycle drayage is not the same as over-the-road.
-
We come to the yard
On the agreed window, including after hours. Units stay where they are; nobody shuttles anything.
-
You get the paperwork
Per-unit records of what was done, what was found and what needs watching. Useful for compliance and for planning.
Situations We Handle for Fleets
Overnight PM so nothing misses a shift
Units serviced between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. and ready to dispatch in the morning. Common for local distribution fleets running fixed DC appointments.
DOT annual inspection prep
We inspect, find the defects, and repair them before the inspection rather than after — brakes, lighting, tires, suspension, air leaks.
Recurring aftertreatment problems
If your trucks derate repeatedly, that is a duty-cycle pattern, not bad luck. We build proactive regens and DPF checks into the PM schedule. DPF services →
Yard trucks and spotters
Hostlers live a brutal duty cycle — constant low-speed work, heavy brake and fifth wheel use, endless idling. They need their own service interval.
Seasonal pre-summer checks
Cooling systems, fan clutches, A/C and batteries checked in spring, before the Florida summer finds the weak ones for you.
Trailer pool maintenance
Trailers get neglected because they are not assigned to a driver who complains. Brakes, lights, air bags and tires, done on a schedule.
Why Fleets Stay With Us
Consistent techs
The same people learn your equipment, your yard and your standards. That consistency is most of the value.
Documented, per unit
Records you can actually use for compliance, warranty and planning — not a stack of illegible invoices.
Same number for breakdowns
The fleet that services your trucks is the one that answers at 2 a.m. when one of them stops on I-4.

Fleet Maintenance FAQ
What is the minimum fleet size?
There is no hard minimum. Two trucks and a trailer is a fleet as far as scheduling goes. Larger operations get more flexibility on windows and pricing simply because there is more work per visit, but small fleets are genuinely welcome.
Which trucks do you service?
Freightliner, Volvo, Mack, Peterbilt, Kenworth, International and Western Star, plus box trucks, straight trucks, reefer units, yard spotters, trailers and heavy equipment. Engines include Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, Volvo, Mack and International.
Can you handle our DOT annual inspections?
We perform thorough pre-inspection assessments and repair every defect we find, which is what keeps units passing. We are a repair service rather than a certifying inspection station, so we get the truck right and the inspection itself is issued by a qualified inspector.
Do you work nights and weekends?
Yes, and for fleets it is often the preferred arrangement. Servicing units when they are already parked means zero downtime during operating hours. Scheduled after-hours fleet work is priced differently from emergency after-hours calls.
What does fleet maintenance cost?
Scheduled work is quoted per service and per unit type rather than as an emergency call rate, and multiple units on one visit brings the per-unit cost down. Call with your unit count and duty cycle and we will put real numbers to it.
