Lake Wales is Ridge citrus country — packing houses, juice operations and seasonal agricultural hauling — and it sits on some of the higher ground in peninsular Florida around Iron Mountain and Bok Tower. The freight here is a mix of long-haul traffic using SR 60 and US 27 as through routes, and local agricultural equipment that works seasonally and hard.
